Paddy Power complaint

I am in dispute with Paddy Power.

On Saturday last at 1.00 pm I bet online 100 ew Again in the 2.40 at Leopardstown.

I got confiirmation of my bet as paying 1/5th odds 1,2,3 which is what was displayed on the screen and which I assumed I was betting.

A horse had been withdrawn at 11 that morning so there were 7 left. PP had formed a new market but they continued to fix bets at paying places 1,2 ,3 and that was stated clearly on their website.

My bet confirmation clearly states that I was to be paid places 1,2,3.

Again finished 3rd but as there were only 7 runners PP did not pay me.

After complaining to them, they admitted that they had made a mistake but as this was "obvious and blatant" they could refuse to pay and instead offered a 30 free bet as a consolation.

I was not happy and asked that the very least I could expect was the place bet of 100 to be given as a free bet. They refused.

My case is that their use of "blatant and obvious" error was inappropriate in this situation.

I look forward to your thoughts.

Regards

Hi Zarcava

In a case such as this, your first port of call should be IBAS.

Fill out their adjudication form here to start the process...

PaddyPower do not like to lose money. They stopped my betting in their sportsbook after I was in front a huge 172 euro after 12 months. There are many much better books out there although I don't bet the horses, just arb sports.
Good luck  Roll Eyes
